Short, because there is not much to say.
This website
If you join the beta, we keep your email address and the time you joined. We use it to write to you when there is a build for your band, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, share it or add it to anything. It is kept in two places: with Cloudflare, which hosts this site, and in our own inbox, where a note arrives to tell us you joined.
To be taken off the list, write to support@downstageapp.com, or reply to any email we send you.
The site has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any host, sees the address your request comes from in order to answer it.
The app
Downstage runs on your own computer and your own network. It does not need the internet and it does not phone home:
- Your Live set, setlists and notes never leave your computer. They are saved in a folder
called
.downstagebeside your Live set. - Your license is checked on your computer. Nothing is sent to us to check it.
- The machine code shown in Backstage › License is a scrambled fingerprint of your computer's hardware id. You send it to us yourself when you ask for a license. It identifies the computer and says nothing else about it or about you.
- There is no account.
